Be Well: Mind Body Spirit Off To A Great Start

Print Article

It’s a bit less than a month since Lehigh’s new faculty and staff wellness program – Be Well: Mind Body Spirit – kicked off. The early results are encouraging.

As of this week, 381 faculty and staff members have completed the well-being assessment. 138 have already attained the first achievement – the 1,000 point Pre-Flight level. This makes them eligible for the $15 monthly wellness credit as well as discounts at the Welch Fitness Center. The Welch Fitness Center discount is good for 50% off of either group fitness classes or a three sessions of personal fitness assessment and training.

HealthScan Plus

Despite the crazy weather we’ve been experiencing this winter, HealthScan Plus was a huge success. Nearly 300 staff and faculty members attended the screening event that included a complete blood count as well as checks of height/weight ratio, blood pressure, and BMI. By now, employees who participated should have their results in their private Be Well account.

Join The Fun!

If you haven’t signed up for Be Well, there’s no time like today to get started. As soon as you enroll and complete challenges, you’ll start earning rewards and making positive changes in your life. Go to to create your Be Well account.

Completing a biometric screening is a requirement in order to reach Level One (Pre-Flight) in the program. If you didn’t get to HealthScan Plus, you can still fulfill this requirement. There are two options:

  • Visit your own physician and have your doctor complete this form
  • Visit any LabCorp location and have them administer the screening and draw your blood using this form.

In either case, you will need to fast for eight hours before the test, so be sure to schedule your appointment accordingly.
