News From ERAC

Print Article

By Seth Goren, Chair, ERAC

We hope you all are doing well and looking forward to another wonderful academic year.  As we begin the first full month of 2012-2013, the Employee Relations Advisory Committee (ERAC) wants to take this opportunity to remind the campus community of our mission and charge. We also want to emphasize that each member of ERAC serves as an advocate for all staff members at Lehigh.

New and Outgoing Members

As an initial matter, ERAC would like to welcome our new members to the committee and thank our outgoing members for their commitment over the past years:
New Members:

Courtney Jones, Multicultural Affairs
Jeanne Kassis, CAS Interdisciplinary Programs
Carla Kologie, College of Education
Vicki Waldron, Biological Sciences
Tom Yencho, Communications and Public Affairs

Outgoing Members:

Robin Armbruster, P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science
Tammy Friday, Office of International Affairs
Pat Mann, Provost’s Office

The full listing of all ERAC representatives and officers is available on the ERAC website.

The Year Ahead

In looking toward the year ahead, ERAC is particularly excited about a number of projects.  First, we’ll be continuing with our Resources to Engage, Accomplish, Connect & Help (REACH) program, which aims to foster professional relationships and networks among faculty and staff.  Through REACH, faculty and students have the opportunity to learn more about the university and to get to know each other through monthly sessions.  Registration for REACH sessions starting in October is now open and can be found on the ERAC website.

ERAC will also be continuing its brown bag lunch series and organizing informational sessions for staff about important issues for the university community.  Among the topics we’re looking forward to exploring are the role staff play in student retention, digital archiving of paper documents through Printing and Mailing Services and the impact of technological advances on the work we do here at Lehigh.  If you have specific topics you’d like to see addressed and discussed at a brown bag lunch, please email (Denise Stangl at
