Wellness In The Works

Last fall, we shared one Lehigh employee's story about his experience with HealthSCAN.

That September article led to a great response, but we know that not everyone who was eligible participated in the fall HealthSCAN event.

The good news is, we're now accepting registrations for spring HealthSCAN. If you missed your chance in October, sign up for an appointment in April. The whole process takes just a few minutes from the moment you sign in until you are relaxing with a continental breakfast.

HealthSCAN
is a personal, preventive health screening that may determine if you have current or potential health problems. Tests include checks for diabetes, heart disease, gout, liver, and kidney disease. A Complete Blood Count (CBC) as well as HDL (good) and LDL (bad) cholesterol levels are also done. Test results are strictly confidential. Only you will receive your results.

The program, conducted by Quest Diagnostics, is offered twice a year on campus, usually October and April. Lehigh employees are eligible for one free screening per year as part of their benefits program. Retirees as well as employee spouses/partners can also participate in the screening at full cost ($50 plus $10 for PSA or TSH tests)

HealthSCAN will take place April 11, 12 and 13, this year. Download the registration form here. Remember, you must fast for 12 hours prior to your test time. Please return the form to Human Resources no later than April 2.

If you are unable to attend HealthSCAN, contact Mary Jo McNulty at 83894 or via email to get information about visiting a Quest Diagnostics lab at your convenience.
