Quick Takes: Three Things You Should Know About This Month

Print Article

1)   Staff and Faculty Town Hall Meeting
      April 2, 2012 – Noon
      Grace Hall

All faculty and staff are invited to attend this important gathering. Progress on the campus master plan, initiatives stemming from the strategic plan, the incoming class (Lehigh ’16), a financial update, and other topics will be discussed. Attendees will also be invited to participate in an engaging conversation about one of Lehigh’s Core Values – Academic Freedom.

2)    Benefits Allocation Review Team (BART II) Report Coming Soon

Last fall, the first Benefits Allocation Review Team (BART I) issued a set of preliminary recommendations. Following the publication of the report, a second committee was formed (BART II) to further investigate and develop the first team’s efforts.

The BART II team met during the fall as three sub-committees and came together in December to deliberate on each group’s findings. The resulting final recommendations will be shared with the entire campus via a printed report the week of March 12.

Once the report is distributed, staff and faculty committees will host gatherings for employees to discuss the recommendations. Read more about the first opportunity in News from ERAC.

3)    Communications and Public Affairs Helps You Find Your Way

Communications and Public Affairs (CPA) has launched a new Google mashup which now serves as the Lehigh campus map. The map may be useful to you in your dealings with any visitors who you bring to campus. It will also be a useful resource for new employees.

This new virtual map design is based on the popular Google maps framework and is overlaid with customized markers, photography and detailed information created by the CPA team in collaboration with many other offices including Facilities Services and Admissions.

You can visit a page that highlights the new features and benefits here.

The campus map can be found here or by entering "campus map" into the search engine.
