Employee Relations Advisory Committee (ERAC) Update

As we write, it is February 2, also known as Groundhog Day.  Seems like Phil did see his shadow, but we think you’ll all agree that we would certainly take six more weeks of this winter weather! 

ERAC would like to update the campus community on our progress since December:

  • The REACH program is well underway with four cohorts running concurrently.  Feedback received from REACH participants is nothing but positive.  Camaraderie is taking place within the sessions, but even more importantly, beyond the sessions.  Popular areas of interest for REACH members are:  Student Affairs, Athletics, Communications and Public Affairs, Lehigh’s Diversity Initiatives and the Provost’s Office.  Anyone interested in assisting ERAC with managing REACH cohorts should contact either Seth Goren or Anne Marie Lobley.  You do not have to be a member of ERAC to assist.

  • ERAC continues to be actively engaged in Phase II of the Benefits Allocation Review process and we encourage staff members who may have questions regarding the process to contact an ERAC member and also visit the website (authentication required). The Benefits Allocation Review Team recently met with all Senior Officers to review the proposals related to Tuition, Healthcare and Retirement.

  • ERAC hosted several well-received Brown Bag events and will continue these efforts throughout the spring semester.  In March, we will host a Brown Bag, entitled Facilities Overview.  And, don’t forget to purchase your Iron Pigs tickets for the June 16th game!  We would love to hear your ideas and thoughts on future Brown Bag sessions.

  • Congratulations to Meg Munley, Research Analyst in the Office of Institutional Research.  Meg won the beautiful gift basket donated by ERAC at the 2011 University Holiday Party. 

  • We encourage you to visit our website and take a look at the summary of our recent meeting minutes.  This may give you a better glimpse at the important work of our committee.

  • ERAC recently revised the composition of our various sub-committees to better align with university-wide initiatives and goals.  We encourage you to contact any member of ERAC if you are interested in assisting with committee work.  Some of the committees that could use assistance are:  Events Committee, Parking Appeals, and REACH.
