Empower Returns in April

Gain the knowledge to help you to move forward with your personal weight goals. This eight-week program presented by Better Health Works (a division of Capital Blue Cross) will help you:

  • Receive beginning, midpoint, and final body composition analyses to track your progress
  • Set realistic and attainable personal goals
  • Learn the basics of fitness, nutrition, and portion sizes
  • Participate in support group interaction.
The new session starts on Thursday, April 5, 2012 and runs through May 31, 2012. There is no charge for this program. Bring your lunch; light refreshments are served. You can register on the HR Training Registration page.

It Started With Monday Miles….
Then Came Two-Mile Tuesdays…And Now….
Walkabout Wednesdays!

Wellness Walkers meet at the flagpole on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 12:10 p.m.

Walkabout Wednesdays participants follow a 1.68 mile course along the South Bethlehem Greenway. Walkers meet at 12:10 at the flagpole.

If you join the group all three days, you’ll be adding 4.75 miles of walking to your week. That burns about 400 calories.

In May there will be yet another twist to this Wellness program…stay tuned to find out what’s in the works for Fridays!
