Employee Relations Advisory Committee (ERAC) Update

Print Article

It’s hard to believe the fall semester will soon be a memory and the spring semester a reality. Since our last report in September’s Spotlight, ERAC would like to update the campus community on our progress:

  • The REACH Program launched three successful cohorts in the fall. Close to 100 faculty and staff members signed on to this program. Of those, we were able to place about 70 in the three cohorts for the fall 2011 and are looking to begin another in January 2012.

  • Popular areas of interest for REACH members are: Student Affairs, Athletics, Communications and Public Affairs, and Lehigh’s Diversity Initiatives.

  • Anyone interested in assisting ERAC with managing REACH cohorts should contact either Seth Goren (extension 86344) or Anne Marie Lobley (extension 84222).You do not have to be a member of ERAC to assist.

  • ERAC continues to be actively engaged in Phase II of the Benefits Allocation Review process and we encourage staff members who may have questions regarding the process to contact an ERAC member and also visit the website (authentication required).

  • ERAC hosted several well-received Brown Bag events and will continue these efforts in the spring semester. Your ideas for future Brown Bag sessions are welcomed.

  • ERAC had the opportunity during our November board meeting to meet with President Alice Gast and Provost Pat Farrell. They both invited interested staff to participate in the implementation of the Strategic Plan, noting that staff are one of the many pillars that help attract the best talent to Lehigh. They encouraged staff to ask questions of their department heads on the progress of the plan and how they can help and become engaged.

The members of ERAC wish you and yours a wonderful holiday season, and we thank you for your continued support throughout the year.
