Dates Set for Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment is your annual opportunity to make changes to your flexible benefits for the coming calendar year. This year, Open Enrollment takes place November 9 through 30, 2011. Here’s a rundown of key dates related to this important time.


Monday, November 7:

Quick Reference Benefits Guide distributed in print to all benefits eligible employees.

Tuesday, November 8:

Open Enrollment Central, featuring online versions of the quick reference guide, the complete benefits guide, online enrollment instructions, and forms will be available.

Wednesday, November 9:

Open Enrollment begins. Employees may begin making changes to their benefits online via Banner.
Information tables and representatives from all Lehigh insurance vendors will be set up in the University Center.

Thursday, November 10:

Information tables and representatives from all Lehigh insurance vendors will be set up in the University Center and Iacocca Hall.

Wednesday, November 30:

Online Open Enrollment ends.

December 1:

On-line individual confirmation statement of benefit elections for 2012 will be available.

December 1 to 7:

Last opportunity to review benefit selections. Changes during this week must be made in writing.

After 5:00 p.m. December 7:

Any changes to benefits for the 2012 calendar year after this date can only be made in response to a Qualifying Life Event.

January 1, 2012:

Benefits changes take effect.
